When I stop dead in my tracks in the middle of my own fight,
Just wishing for some sun in the middle of the night.
Well I’ll hold out on my own, for now,
Hoping love will save me somehow.
If the whistlin’ birds and their tell-tale hearts,
Are just wishful thoughts tossed into the air,
Well I’m apathetic towards the thoughts from this world,
‘Cause I don’t care who knows I’m in love with a girl.
And I pray there’s a huge banquet, filled with truth, without deceit. a harbouring feast,
Tucked deep inside my mind, with no way to show, hopefully you know it, with a pressure release.
‘Cause I’m slow to spill my words, and even what they mean,
To see them we may need to take a trip in my submarine.
I Just wish I knew it, how to show what I know.
But for now lets take a trip let me show you down below.
If the singing whales and their hopeful songs,
Are just optimistic musicals in a world prolonged,
By it’s terrible intuition on hopeless romantics,
Then I hope to God that you’re just full of these antics.
If the flying squids and their taste for adventure,
Is masked by a laziness to get somewhere faster,
Then toss me from the water and let me taste the air,
I’m only looking for my love and a faster way there.

"A singer-songwriter with a devastating ear for harmonies and a delicate touch with lyrics that slide perfectly into a
horrid winter. There's a definite Celtic touch, but far sweeter than something like Mumford & Sons." - Andrew Fifield (Metro News)
